After 5 seasons, 75+ short screenplays read, and 130+ films programmed, DCFF has met so many awesome filmmakers, artists and writers. As we look forward to our 6th annual festival (February 22-24, 2019), we thought this was a great opportunity to check back in with some of our alumni. Dave LaMattina & Chad Walker – 2014 DCFF Directors/Producers, I Am Big Bird: the Caroll Spinney Story
Dave LaMattina and Chad Walker travel the world searching for stories for Copper Pot Pictures. After the success of their critically acclaimed documentary I AM BIG BIRD, Dave and Chad began working across all mediums. Their recent work includes Animal Planet’s THE ZOO, and the award-winning documentary WE MUST GO. I AM BIG BIRD is now available to stream on iTunes and Amazon. Caroll Spinney just recently announced his retirement from playing Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street for nearly 50 years. We wish him well, and thank him for what his story brought to our inaugural Destiny City Film Festival.
Ivo Marloh – 2018 DCFF Director, All the Wild Horses
Ivo is a a screenwriter, producer and director of feature films, documentaries, brand films and commercials. With an MA in screenwriting , he has over ten years of international movie industry experience working on projects in the US, UK, Europe and Asia as a writer, director, producer or consulting producer. He is currently in post-production for the thriller, CRY ME A RIVER. Since playing at DCFF (with several race alumni in attendance!), All the Wild Horses has played at dozens of film festivals and has been purchased and distributed by Kew Media Group.
